Marian Enriquez
Alumnae Association Chair
alumassoc_chair@lambdalady.org Marian Enriquez joined our sisterhood in the Spring of 2000 as a Founding Sister of Beta Pi
Chapter at Eastern Michigan University where she served as the first ever Chapter President. She then grew to serve as Area Orientation Supervisor for Michigan Area One (MIA1).
There she worked tirelessly to help recruit, retain and bring new sisters into Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. The National Board of Directors recognized her efforts by
awarding her AOS of the Year during our national banquet.
After graduating with a B.S. in Theatre Arts in Spring 2003 Marian moved back home to Washington, D.C. where she took on the role as Area Supervisor for Maryland Area One
(MDA1) and worked very closely with the sisters of Maryland, Virginia, and Tennessee to bring new energy into the area. Then in 2004 she was elected as National Director of
Expansion where she created the much-needed National Recruitment Committee (NRC).
Currently, in addition to her position as the Chair of the Alumnae Association, Marian continues to be a part of the NRC and was also a member of the 2007 Convention
Committee. As a professional, she has valuable experience working in the non-profit sector as well as tremendous fundraising skills. Marian is currently the Event Planning
Manager for the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

Claudia L. Barrera

Claudia is an alumna sister from Epsilon Chapter, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, NJ. She became a member of LTA in Spring 1993. Claudia has held National and Regional
positions within LTA such as National Fundraising Chair, National Director of Administration, NJCA2 Area Supervisor, Lambda Beta Alumnae Chapter Community Chair & Mid-Atlantic
Regional Vice-Chair for the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO). She currently serves as the Alumnae Association Secretary, National Representative
to NALFO & is a member of Lambda Beta Alumnae Chapter.
Claudia received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Spanish from Douglass College at Rutgers University. She currently works for Lehman Brothers in New York City.
Claudia is on the Membership Committee for the NY Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance & Accounting (ALPFA). She also volunteers for the Girl Scouts
Council of Greater NY as a Scholars Assistant.
Analiz Velazquez

She joined the sisterhood in Spring 2003. Analiz served in various undergraduate positions in Chi Chapter such as Chapter President, Treasurer, Community Service chair and
Multicultural Greek Council delegate. She received various awards and recognition for her work and leadership such as Chi Chapter Neophyte of the Year, University of Florida
Greek Woman of the Year and NALFO’s Undergraduate Campus Leadership Excellence Award.
Analiz graduated from the University of Florida in May 2006 with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Sociology. She is currently a second year of law school at New York
Law School in Lower Manhattan. She plans to practice immigration law.
