Fundraising Initiatives
Pledge/Installments
For sisters who would like to donate to the Pave the Way Foundation, but would like to spread out your payments, the Alumnae Association has created a pledge program that suits the needs of every Universal Woman!
Here's how it works: You pick a donation level and amount, then our treasurer will establish a minimum monthly donation amount and you simply pay online or send a check! The plan is flexible, you can vary the amount you pay each month as long as you reach the donation level and amount you selected.
How do I sign up?
All donations are tax-deductible. Gifts of $250 or more will receive tax deductible receipts, those less than $250 may use their canceled check as proof of donation on their tax forms.
- Donation Levels: [minimum to maximum amount in bracket]
- Burgundy and Grey: $500 or more [$167 per month or more]
- Platinum: $250-$499 [$84 to $166 per month]
- Gold: $100-$249 [ $34 to $83 per month]
- Silver: $50-$99 [$17 to $33 per month]
- Bronze: $49 or less [$10 to $16 per month]

Social Change
Just look in your pockets, the bottom of purses, your car seats, between cushions, and under your beds - your spare change can go a long way. Thanks to the Alumnae Association, sisters can support philanthropic initiatives throughout the country just by saving up their pennies!
We've developed a program called the Social Change Jar, which is designed to simplify your charitable giving. Think about it: all the change that you receive throughout the day adds up. Imagine that change at the end of the week, the month, and eventually the semester. Sisters/Chapters/Areas of Lambda Theta Alpha participate by keeping jars throughout each academic semester and are asked to fill it with their spare change. At the end of the semester they are asked to convert the change to cash and give the proceeds to the Foundation.
Money raised through this initiative goes to support local charitable endeavors of chapters throughout the nation and specifically the F.U.T.U.R.O. program. The social change occurs when YOUR money is invested into communities throughout the nation, helping support our goal of empowerment and promotion of higher education.
Members of the Association are happy to help you implement the program at your chapter/university. Get your alumnae, chapter sisters, and interests involved. Have a penny war, bring your change to chapter meeting, do it as an Area, but make it happen! Those sisters and/or chapter that raise the most money will receive recognition.
Email alumassoc_chair@lambdalady.org for an application.
Matching Gifts
Many companies/employers offer matching gifts as part of their charitable functions. When an employee pledges or makes a donation, the employer will match that donation up to 100%. Does your company have a matching gifts program? If so, contact your Human Resources or Personnel Department to find our more details, then make a donation to the Pave the Way Foundation and get it matched by your company. If you have any questions, contact alumassoc_chair@lambdalady.org.
Chapter Fundraisers
If you are part of an alumnae/graduate chapter, consider donating part of your chapter fundraiser proceeds to the National Alumnae Association. You can make checks payable to: Lambda Theta Alpha National Alumnae Association and mail them to:

In addition, the NAEB has generously agreed to share a portion of proceeds from their fundraisers to the National Alumnae Association and the Pave the Way Foundation. Please support the NAEB and in turn help us!
