Grants

The Pave The Way Foundation will award initiative grants to undergraduate chapters of Lambda Theta Alpha, in order to promote activities in the areas of community service (family, education, youth development, health and civic participation), leadership development, and the academic advancement of members. Preference is given to programs that are unique Lambda Theta Alpha initiatives, such as start up funds for F.U.T.U.R.O. programs. Grants range up to $250; the number awarded each year varies depending of available resources.

Grants are awarded to chapters on a semester basis. Lambda Theta Alpha undergraduate chapters, graduate chapters, and areas interested in applying for grants should contact the Alumnae Association Chair at: alumassoc_chair@lambdalady.org.

Fundraising Initiatives

Money raised for the Pave the Way Foundation will be distributed to sisters/chapters/areas that are committed to their communities and education. It may be in the form of a grant, sponsorships, or scholarships. The idea is to share the generosity of LTA Alumnae with undergraduates who may be pursuing graduate degrees, or organizing large-scale philanthropic activities in their community.

It's objectives are to:

  • To provide for the unique needs of our community;
  • To promote community initiatives, academic and leadership development among undergraduate chapters by providing them with monetary resources to carry them out effectively;
  • To provide an outlet for LTA alumnae to support the organization through tax-deductible contributions;
  • To promote corporate, private and business donations; and
  • To promote a culture of philanthropy among sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha.
