Chapter History

Lambda Alpha (Florida) was established in Fall 2000 as the first alumnae chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha. The need to fulfill the lifelong commitment for LTA was felt by alumnae living in Florida. Some of the sisters include:

Caroline Ayala-Rodriguez (Chi)
Adelaida Medina (Chi)

After a hiatus in 2003, the chapter was reactivated on September 20th, 2004.

Chapter Events/Activities

Lambda Alpha’s chapter philanthropy is the Community-at-Large. A cause is adopted every month, where Lambda Alpha creates awareness through workshops, and conducts donation drives to help with a financial contribution. Activities include supporting and bonding with the undergraduate sisters throughout the state of Florida, holding networking events for alumnae, conducing an annual Spring Leadership Conference and Statewide Banquet, and working closely with Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. Past community service programming include: Clothes Drive for the Central Florida area, Tsunami Relief, Heart Walk, Multiple Mylenoma, and Autism Awareness.
