Silent Auction

At the National Alumnae & Graduates Convention, the National Alumnae Association will be hosting a Silent Auction. Proceeds from the auction will support the Pave the Way Foundation and the NAEB.

Alum/Grad sisters are asked to donate items for the auction. These items can be anything from para to gift certificates. Be creative! Think: What would my fellow alum/grad sisters be interested in purchasing? By having the items donated by sisters, this maximizes the amount money that can be raised for the organization. Items donated to the auction will be considered an in-kind donation on behalf of the sister donating it and she will receive an acknowledgement letter from the National Alumnae Association.

Guidelines for Raffle Item Solicitation

  1. If you are approaching outside vendors/businesses, please ask on behalf of the Pave the Way Foundation NOT Lambda Theta Alpha. This way, the business can make a tax-deductible donation. If you need the Foundation tax ID number, please contact Blanca Torres, National Alumnae Association Treasurer, at alumassoc_treasurer@lambdalady.org.
     
  2. As mentioned above, if you purchase an item and then donate it to the Foundation, you will receive acknowledgement of your in-kind donation.
     
  3. Please notify Maria Miranda, Alumnae Association Chair, at alumassoc_chair@lambdalady.org, if you will be submitting a raffle item. Raffle item submission details are due by February 18, 2005. When submitting an item, please include the following:
    - description of item
    - actual value of item
    - donated by _________
     
  4. If you are submitting a raffle item, please bring it with you to the Convention. Specific drop off instructions will be provided in the coming months. If you would like to submit an item, but cannot attend convention, please contact Maria Miranda (alumassoc_chair@lambdalady.org).
     
  5. Items will be raffled off on February 26, 2005 during the convention.
